Boiler Structure: Fire tube and Water tube
When we introduce boiler structure, sometimes we divide them into fire tube boiler and water tube boiler. What’s the different of water tube boiler and fire tube boiler.
What is fire tube
Fire tube means fire is in the tube and flue gas also in the tube. the water is outside of the tube.
What is water tube
Water tube means fire is outside of the tube to heat the water in the tube.
Generally, most small gas or oil boiler is fire tube, it is very sophisticated technology, but for once through boiler, there is no drum in the boiler structure. the water get in the boiler tube , then water is heated to steam. such boiler can get steam very fast.
For large boiler , which steam capacity is larger than 8t, it is water tube.
Water tube has high requirement for water source, or it will make the tube corrossion
