Wood pellet machinery catches fire at Holland facility

At approximately 4:15 p.m. firefighters were called to 1125 Industrial Avenue where they discovered a fire on the exterior of a drying drum at Michigan Wood Fuels, said Capt. Chris Tinney of the Holland Department of Public Safety.
No one was injured during the fire, Tinney said.
While it was unclear as to how exactly the fire started, oils and lubricants on the exterior of the machine were identified as agents that contributed to the fire, Tinney said.
The incident is currently under investigation, Tinney said.
The Hamilton Fire Department assisted the Holland Department of Public Safety, Tinney said.
